Working in a Gestalt way sometimes incorporates the use of objects and creativity in sessions to enable you to explore and learn about hidden parts of yourself.
Working creatively is something we can choose to incorporate into our sessions as our therapeutic relationship grows, this is not for everyone and we would always discuss first whether this is something you feel comfortable with.
Anything we discuss during our sessions will be kept completely confidential between us, only in extremely rare circumstances such as if there was serious risk of harm, would I need to seek agreement with yourself to speak to a third party.
All too often we can feel there is no one to talk to about how we really feel. How many times do we just reply with 'I'm fine' when someone asks after us? Counselling offers time for YOU, in a completely non-judgemental and impartial environment, with a therapist who truly listens.
Therapy can help us to let go of old habits and ways that no longer serve us well. I can help you make sense of who you really are in the here and now, letting go of old ways from the past that you would rather move on from, helping you to become the best version of yourself today.
Loss and grief come in many forms, losing a loved one, dealing with the end of a relationship or losing a job can all be huge, challenging and life changing experiences. Therapy can help you make sense of these changes and when you are ready, explore ways in which you can move forward.
Therapy can help you to build self-confidence and improve your self-esteem, self-worth and self-image. I can help you to look at what is behind any negative feelings you may hold about yourself and to see things more clearly, allowing you to recognise the qualities that make you who you are and to build your confidence, in order to live life as your true, authentic self.
